Mr. Peh Chin Hua
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Peh has been appointed to join the Board as the Chairman of Highest Performances Holdings Inc.(formerly known as Puyi Inc.) since February 2024. Mr Peh founded the Singapore White Group Pte. Ltd. in 2005 and is the current Executive Chairman and President of the Group, as well as the Chairman of the US Investment Fund Group. He was formerly Managing Director of the Shinglee Book Holdings , the founder and Executive Chairman of Dragonland Group, a listed company on the main board of Singapore, and the Vice Chairman of TFC Bank Holdings in the United States and the Chairman of NTUC Seacare Holding Ltd. He is a former Member of Parliament in Singapore for 13 years (1988-2001). He had actively contributed to Singapore’s social and political service for 29 years and was awarded National Day Public Service Medal for his commendable efforts in public service. After retiring from politics in 2001, the entrepreneur went back to school and graduated with an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2002.
Mr. Hu Yinan
Chief Executive Officer, Vice Chairman of the Board
Mr. Hu has served as our chief executive officer and Vice Chairman of the Board since February 2024 and Director since August 2018. Mr. Hu has been the director of Fanhua Inc. (NASDAQ: CISG) since 1998 and has served as the chairman of the board of this company from 1998 to 2017. From 1998 to October 2011, Mr. Hu served as the chief executive officer of Fanhua Inc. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Hu served as chairman of the board of directors of Guangdong Nanfeng Enterprises Co., Ltd., a company he co-founded that engaged in import and export, manufacturing of wooden doors and construction. From 1991 to 1995, Mr. Hu was an instructor of money and banking at Guangdong Institute for Managers in Finance and Trade. Mr. Hu received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in China.
Mr. Ren Yong
Director
Mr. Ren has been our Director since September 2022. He served as our chief executive officer from September 2019 to February 2024 and as chairman of the Board from September 2022 to February 2024. Prior to joining us, Mr. Ren has more than 10 years’ experience in corporate management including three years’ experience as the vice president at a well-recognized financing company in the industry. Mr. Ren received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 2005 and his master’s degree in finance from Shandong University in 2011.
Mr. Kong Youjie
Director
Mr. Kong has been our Director since October 2022. He served as our co-chairman of the Board from October 2022 to February 2024. Before joining the Company, Mr. Kong has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry in China, including work experience with the People’s Bank of China and China Insurance Regulatory Commission, as well as multiple security firms, fund management companies and insurance companies. Since 2005, he has successively served as vice general manager, general manager, director, or chairman of the board in several well-known financial companies. In 2005, he obtained a doctor’s degree in finance from Renmin University of China.
Mr. Luo Jidong
Independent Director
Mr. Luo served as a member of the Standing Committee of the People’s Political Consultative Conference of Guangdong Province, head of the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee of Guangdong Province and head of the Economic Committee of Guangdong Province from February 2013 and retired in February 2017. Mr. Luo served as the president of Guangdong Rural Credit Cooperative Union from August 2005 to May 2013. Mr. Luo served as the head of the Finance Office of the Government of Guangdong Province from January 2004 to July 2005. Mr. Luo served as the president of Guangzhou Branch of China Merchants Bank from December 1998 to December 2003. Mr. Luo served as the vice president of Guangzhou Branch of the People’s Bank of China from November 1996 to December 1998. Mr. Luo joined Guiyang Branch of the People’s Bank of China in January 1985 and served as the vice president of Guiyang Branch of the People’s Bank of China from December 1990 to July 1995, and the president of Guiyang Branch of the People’s Bank of China from July 1995 to November 1996. Mr. Luo worked at Guiyang Central Branch of the People’s Bank of China from June 1970 to December 1984. Mr. Luo graduated from the special training program of finance for cadres in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 1984. Mr. Luo obtained a master’s degree in economics from Southwestern University of Finance of Economics in 1996 and a PhD degree in economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 2010.
Dr. Zhai Lihong
Independent Director

Dr. Zhai has more than 30 years’ experiences in the financial industry, including experiences as the lecture in finance at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and experiences as the director of a well-known trust and financing research institute. In addition, Dr. Zhai has extensive experiences in corporate management, and he has also held multiple senior management positions, including being an independent director and supervisor, in several banks and corporations. Dr. Zhai received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Shanxi University of Finance and Economics in 1991 and his master and doctor degrees in finance from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in 1999 and 2005, respectively.

In 2021, Nasdaq amended its listing rules to require disclosure of specified board diversity metrics and diverse board composition, subject to certain exceptions and phase-in periods. The table below provides the composition of our Board based on voluntary self-identification of gender identity and other demographics. Each of the categories listed in the below table has the meaning as it is used in the Nasdaq rules and related guidance and instructions.

As of the date herein, our Company has not yet identified a suitable candidate to meet the diversity objectives specified in Nasdaq Rule 5605(f)(2). Our Board has not historically adhered to any specific targets or quotas in determining Board membership. However, our Company is in the process of actively seeking a suitable candidate to refresh the composition of our Board and adding new members to further strengthen the Board’s expertise and skill set and introduce fresh perspectives.
